Rohan Wallace is a registered patent and trademarks attorney with more than a decade of experience. He specialises in patenting IT and mechanical inventions, registering designs and the registration of trademarks.

After starting his career with a small Western Australian firm, Rohan went on to spend over a decade working for one of Australia’s largest patent and trademark attorney companies. During that time, Rohan assisted a broad range of clients to protect their registered intellectual property in Australia and overseas, including individual inventors, SMEs, and large multi-national corporations.

He has registered trademarks for a broad range of large and small companies - including a major WA dairy producer, a power utility, a mining company, IT companies, a household furnishings manufacturer, and a number of local wineries.

Rohan has also been involved in infringement action to protect his client’s trademarks, and has provided infringement advice for both trademark owners and businesses wishing to avoid the risk of infringement.

He also has significant experience in drafting and gaining patents, both locally and overseas. Rohan has drafted patent specifications for multinational IT companies and won patents in many jurisdictions - including Australia, the United States, Europe, Japan, China, South Korea, Canada, Malaysia, Indonesia and Russia.

His broad range of technology experience includes mechanical devices and machines, electronic circuits, computer network devices and other computer hardware, and computer software and business methods.

He has also been involved in the enforcement of client’s patent rights and has provided “freedom to operate” advice to his clients.
